ZakatHisab.com is a free, non-profit Zakat calculator built for Muslims everywhere, in their own language and currency. It started as a single Arabic calculator and now serves nine languages: English, Arabic, Urdu, Indonesian, Malay, Turkish, Bengali, Hindi and Persian.
What makes it different
- Today’s Nisab, every day. Gold and silver prices are refreshed daily and converted to more than thirty currencies. You should never have to look up a metal price yourself, though you can always type one in.
- Local conventions, not one-size-fits-all. Each language defaults to the school of thought and Nisab convention used in that country, uses local units such as the tola, bhori and maund, and speaks about local instruments such as savings circles, prize bonds, provident funds and mobile wallets.
- The features charities skip. Livestock brackets that answer in animals, a real Hawl tracker with Hijri dates that resets when wealth drops below the Nisab, a missed-years estimator, a detailed PDF report and WhatsApp sharing.
- Privacy by design. Every calculation runs inside your browser. We never see, store or transmit your figures. Read our privacy policy.
How we calculate
We follow the methodology accepted by the four Sunni schools: 2.5% of net zakatable wealth at or above the Nisab after one lunar year, 10% or 5% on crops, and the classical brackets for livestock. Where schools differ, the calculator shows the difference rather than hiding it. Our sources are the Qur’an and Sunnah as explained in the standard fiqh manuals, the published conventions of national zakat bodies, and the letter of Abu Bakr recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari 1454 for livestock.

Zeeshan built ZakatHisab.com to fix a specific gap: every zakat calculator he could find used one country’s rules and one currency. ZakatHisab.com instead runs each of its nine languages against that market’s own convention, unit and authority, with nisab pulled live from current gold and silver prices, and every calculator and guide checked against AAOIFI Shariah Standards and cross-referenced across the four Sunni madhahib (and Ja’fari fiqh where relevant).
